Referral Program

This Referral Program is a promotional offer and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn by IPF at any time in accordance with this Policy.

This Policy governs the IPF Referral Program ("Program") operated by Marsupium Technologies Private Limited ("IPF", "we", "us"). This Program is subject to the IPF Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given to them in the IPF Terms of Use. By participating in the Program, you agree to this Policy.

1. Definitions

  • Referrer: An existing IPF user who shares their unique referral link or referral code.
  • Referee: A New User who signs up on IPF using a Referrer's referral link or valid referral code.
  • New User: A person who has never previously created, used, or transacted through an IPF account, as determined by IPF using signals including (but not limited to) verified phone number, device identifiers, payment instruments, and delivery addresses.
  • Buyer Protection Fee (BPF): The Buyer Protection Fee (inclusive of applicable GST) charged on an order as per the IPF Terms of Use.
  • Eligible Order: An order that meets all of the following conditions:
    • Total product value of at least ₹499 (excluding shipping charges and the Buyer Protection Fee);
    • Placed using prepaid payment (Cash on Delivery orders do not qualify as the Referee's qualifying order);
    • Successfully placed with payment confirmed;
    • Not placed in any category or on any listing excluded by IPF from time to time; and
    • Compliant with the IPF Terms of Use and this Policy.

2. How the Program Works

  1. Share your unique referral link or referral code with your friends.
  2. The Referee signs up on IPF using your referral link or enters your referral code during sign-up. A Referee may use only one referral code during sign-up. Referral codes cannot be changed or applied after account creation.
  3. Referee Reward: The Referee receives a discount of up to ₹50 on the Buyer Protection Fee, applied automatically at checkout on their first Eligible Order.
  4. Referrer Reward: Once the Referee successfully places their first Eligible Order and payment is confirmed, a discount of up to ₹50 on the Buyer Protection Fee is credited to the Referrer's account. If that order is subsequently cancelled, returned, refunded, reversed, or otherwise ceases to qualify under this Policy, IPF may revoke the credited reward if it has not already been redeemed.

3. Reward Value and Application

  • Each reward is a discount of up to ₹50, capped at the Buyer Protection Fee applicable to the order on which it is applied. If the Buyer Protection Fee on that order is less than ₹50, the discount equals the Buyer Protection Fee, and no residual value is carried forward, refunded, credited, or adjusted against any future order.
  • The reward applies only to the Buyer Protection Fee and cannot be applied against the product price, shipping charges, taxes (other than GST included within the Buyer Protection Fee), or any other charge.
  • Rewards are automatically applied to the Buyer Protection Fee of the next Eligible Order. Users cannot defer, skip, or manually choose a different order for redemption.
  • Rewards have no cash value, do not constitute property, stored value, electronic money, or any monetary balance owed by IPF, and cannot be transferred, exchanged, encashed, or withdrawn.

Example 1 (full redemption): An order consists of Product Price ₹1,000, Shipping ₹100, and Buyer Protection Fee ₹59 (inclusive of GST). Since the Buyer Protection Fee exceeds ₹50, the full ₹50 discount is applied, leaving ₹9 of the Buyer Protection Fee payable.
The final order amount payable is ₹1,000 + ₹100 + ₹9 = ₹1,109.

Example 2 (partial redemption): An order consists of Product Price ₹500, Shipping ₹50, and Buyer Protection Fee ₹29.50 (inclusive of GST). A referral reward applied to this order gives a discount of ₹29.50 — the full Buyer Protection Fee. The remaining ₹20.50 is forfeited and cannot be carried forward, refunded, credited, or adjusted against any future order.
The final order amount payable is ₹500 + ₹50 + ₹0 = ₹550.

Note: These examples are for illustrative purposes only. Actual product price, shipping charges, and Buyer Protection Fee vary by order.

4. Multiple Rewards

  • Only one referral reward may be redeemed on a single order.
  • If a user holds multiple referral rewards, they are applied to successive Eligible Orders in the order in which they were credited (first credited, first redeemed).
  • Each reward carries its own validity period as set out in Section 5.
  • A referral reward cannot be combined with any other referral reward, promotional offer, or coupon that provides a discount on the Buyer Protection Fee for the same order, unless expressly permitted by IPF.

5. Reward Validity

  • Each referral reward is valid for 90 calendar days from the date it is credited to the user's account.
  • Unused rewards automatically expire at the end of the validity period and cannot be reinstated, extended, or exchanged.

6. Referral Limits

  • IPF may impose per-user, per-household, per-device, per-payment instrument, or aggregate referral limits at any time.
  • Any such limits may be modified, removed, or introduced without prior notice.

7. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Referee's qualifying order:

If the Referee's qualifying order is cancelled, returned, refunded, reversed, or otherwise determined by IPF not to qualify under this Policy, the Referrer Reward may be withheld or revoked if it has not already been redeemed.

Order on which a reward is redeemed:

  • If the order is cancelled by the seller or by IPF (including quality-check failure or seller non-fulfilment), the redeemed reward will be reinstated with its remaining validity period.
  • If the order is cancelled by the buyer, or the buyer initiates a return or refund, the redeemed reward will be treated as used and will not be reissued, unless IPF determines otherwise.

8. Eligibility

To qualify for rewards under this Program:

  • The Referee must be a New User.
  • The Referee must sign up using the Referrer's referral link or valid referral code during account creation.
  • The Referee's qualifying order must be an Eligible Order.
  • Both the Referrer's and Referee's accounts must remain in good standing when the reward is credited and redeemed.

9. Prohibited Conduct

The Program may not be used for:

  • Creating or operating multiple accounts to earn referral rewards.
  • Referring yourself, your own alternate accounts, or members of your own household using multiple accounts.
  • Orders where the buyer and seller are the same person, share a household, or otherwise act together to generate referral rewards.
  • Fake, fraudulent, incentivized-spam, or bot-generated referrals.
  • Publishing referral codes on coupon, cashback, or deal aggregation websites, or any mass distribution channel prohibited by IPF.
  • Any activity intended to manipulate, game, or abuse the Program.

IPF may use device, payment, network, location, account, and behavioral signals to detect abuse. IPF may delay the issuance of referral rewards while conducting fraud or abuse reviews and is not required to disclose the methods used for such reviews.

10. Enforcement and Recovery

IPF reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:

  • Determine whether any referral qualifies for rewards.
  • Withhold, revoke, cancel, or expire any referral reward.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts found to be violating this Policy.
  • Recover the value of any rewards obtained or redeemed through fraudulent, abusive, or ineligible activity, including, where permitted by applicable law, by setting off such value against any pending seller payouts, refunds, wallet balances, or other amounts payable by IPF to the user.

11. Changes to the Program

IPF reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program — including the reward amount, eligibility criteria, order value thresholds, referral limits, validity period, or any other term of this Policy — at any time without prior notice. Rewards already credited will be honored in accordance with the terms applicable when they were credited, unless obtained in violation of this Policy.

12. General

  • Participation in the Program does not create any agency, partnership, employment, joint venture, or other fiduciary relationship between IPF and any participant.
  • All decisions regarding referral eligibility, reward issuance, fraud determination, interpretation of this Policy, and any disputes arising from the Program shall be made by IPF and shall be final and binding.
  • This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to the Program.
  • If any provision of this Policy is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
