How to play the game Buisness: ABOUT THE GAME: The objective of inception of the game is to learn business/trade, by buying and selling of properties, so that one becomes the wealthiest player by the same method. During the course of the game, players experience ups and downs, rewards, losses, penalties etc. The game entices excitement, pleasure and amusement amongst the players. When a player lands on a space not already owned, he may buy it from the Bank, otherwise he has to pay rent to the owner of that site. Rents are greatly increased by erection of house and hotels. During financial crisis, properties can be mortgaged to the Bank. CONTENTS: On the board, several popular cities of India, having companies and establishments have been drawn representing different colour groups, along with slots representing Chance, Community chest, Prison, Rest House, Club and 5 Utility Companies. Two Dice, Blue, Green, and Yellow Houses, Red Hotels, pegs of different colour representing each player during his journey on the Playing Board are provided. There are PROPERTY CARDS for every city and Promissory notes/coins of various denominations. START: Place the board on a table. Each player is provided with one peg of a colour representing him during his Journey on the Playing Board. All other equipments go to the Bank. One of the players is elected to work as a BANKER. But he should not in any case, mix his own money with that of bank. Another person can also act as a Banker. CAPITAL: At the commencement of the game, each player draws an equal amount of money (which may be Rs. 30,000/- to 50,000/-) Money can be distributed equally by mutual understanding in the beginning of the game. Even in Bank is not left with any money in the beginning, money will start flowing into it during the course of game. COMMENCE THE GAME: Each player rolls the dice in turns. The player with the highest total starts the play & other players follow him (clockwise). The peg remains on the space occupied and proceeds from that point during the player’s next turn. One or more pegs may rest on the same space. If a player gets a DOUBLE i.e. both dices showing same number, the sum of both is effective (i.e. the player is subject to any privileges or penalties printed on that site). He has to move once more. Likewise in the same turn if he gets a double third time in succession, he does not move his peg but immediately GOES TO PRISON. TRANSACTION: According to the space on which is peg reaches, by rolling the two dice, player may be entitled to buy building sites or other properties by payment of printed values, unless same has been already owned by another player. The Bank only sells to those who arrive at a particular site by the roll of dices. Players can buy and sell among themselves at their free will. A player has to pay the rent stated in the property card when he arrives at the site owned by another player. If a player does not wish to buy the site on which he arrives or if he has no capacity to buy the site, only the Bank has got right to sell that property by auction. ERECTION OF PROPERTY: To have larger profit by your investment, auction of houses and hotels are made. The value of each house and hotel are shown in the property cards. By paying such amount to the Bank, you can build houses and hotels. Blue House pegs indicate one house, Yellow House pegs indicate two houses, Green house pegs indicate three houses & White House pegs indicate hotels. You must own at least two sites of any colour group to effect an erection of property. (for example if you have Indore and Jaipur you can erect a houses). It is not compulsory to erect on all the sites simultaneously. Even a single erection of property can be made on a site. At the most, three erections can be made on a site. After the first property erection of a colour group, the ownership of three sites of same colour group is not compulsory. That is to say, you can not erect more than one house on any one site of any colour group until you have built one house on every site of that colour group. You may then being on the second series of houses and so on up to a limit of not exceeding three houses to a site. To erect a HOTEL, you must have three houses on each site of a complete colour group of three sites. Hotel can be built by paying to the Bank, the sum shown on the property card Only one hotel can be erected on any one site. ADVANTAGE TO THE OWNER: If you are the owner of three sites of same colour group, the rent charged is double as that shown on the property card, on all undeveloped sites of same colour group. The advantage of owning house or Hotel rather than undeveloped properties is that rentals are much higher than for undeveloped site & thus profits the owner immensely. CHANCE & COMMUNITY CHEST:Chance and community Chest sites deal with profit and loss. Players gain in the course of his travels. When he arrives on a Chance or Community Chest site by getting odd or even roll of dice, deal with the Bank and players as instructed. How to play the game Cops and Robbers: 2 PLAYERS: Use two blue markers and two red markers placed on their respective squares. OBJECTIVE- TO trap your opponent.the player with the blue markers (cops) plays first and tries to trap the player with the red markers (robbers). He moves one of his marker into the empty space, then red moves and so on until one or the other is trapped (cannot move).THE WINNER is the player that traps his opponent.
