It's a black and white book and can be used till the baby is interested, mine used it till she was one year old. Not as good as new, slight damage as in the pic, can be placed on the floor or standing wise, good for tummy time and keeps baby engaged for a long time. As someone managing the baby and home alone this helped a lot
